The Charleston Defense Contractors Association (CDCA) aims to address issues and opportunities facing the Charleston, South Carolina defense community. CDCA provides liaison with local, state, and Federal governmental agencies, elected officials, legislatures, and special groups and committees. The Association works to improve the local defense community’s ability to develop, attract, retain, and more effectively execute business opportunities. To provide better services to defense customers, CDCA fosters an increased and effective interaction between defense contractors. Formed in 2002, the Association’s mission is to advocate, protect, and preserve its community.
The Fort Detrick Alliance, Inc.’s mission is to facilitate communication and understanding between Federal agencies at Fort Detrick and the community at large. To accomplish this mission, the Alliance endeavors to build relationships between Fort Detrick and its constituencies in the region: individuals; businesses; civic, social, and educational organizations; and local and State government entities.
