The Technology Council of Maryland (TCM) named GRSi as a Top 5 Technology Firm of the Year and GRSi's President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr. David Affeldt, as a Top 5 CEO of the Year. 2016 BALTIMORE CORNERSTONE AWARD HONOREE, SMARTCEO MAGAZINE

GRSi CEO, Dr. David Affeldt, was named a SmartCEO Cornerstone Award Honoree, and recognized for partnering with local organizations, donating to community causes, and mentoring the future generation of leaders. The Cornerstone Awards program honors businesses headquartered in area surrounding the Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington, DC, metro markets. Public and private companies are nominated from all size and industry categories. Finalists are showcased in the November/December issue of SmartCEO magazine and celebrated at an awards reception, where the winners are announced.

2012 & 2013 GOVERNMENT CONTRACTING FIRM OF THE YEAR, TECH COUNCIL OF MARYLAND

GRSi was named the Government Contracting Company of the Year by the Tech Council of Maryland, Frederick County. Demonstrating more than 300% growth within a five-year period, GRSi has built business off of proven past performance in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Civilian, and commercial markets. Company President and co-owner, David Affeldt, expressed appreciation to the Tech Council for recognizing the hard work of all GRSi employees who deliver excellence in their mission support services to clients nationwide.

CONGRESSIONAL AWARDS OF PERFORMANCE, Multi-year

Congressman Bartlett presented GRSi with a special recognition award for performance from 2011 to 2012 and recognizing GRSi's award as government contracting firm of the year. GRSi is honored to receive such recognition from Congressman Bartlett, who is such a strong advocate of businesses, especially those in the "tech-corridor" and Frederick County.

GRSi was also recognized by Senators Mikulski and Cardin with a certificate for "smart business practices and continued growth in poor economic times". The award came in response to GRSi's wave of task order and contract wins, including significant growth in its support at Fort Detrick.

INC. MAGAZINE TOP 50 IN FASTEST-GROWING PRIVATE COMPANIES IN AMERICA, Multi-year

Inc. Magazine listed GRSi in its Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies, ranking 42nd in growth. Two years in a row, GRSi ranked in the Top 50 for growth.

Private companies are ranked according to overall revenue growth over a three-year period. Rankings are further broken down in industry, region, and ownership categories.

GRSi was also named in the following categories:

  • Top 50 Maryland-Based Companies
  • 38th Fastest Growing Private Engineering Company in the Country

Inc500 TOP 50 JOB CREATORS IN THE COUNTRY, INC. MAGAZINE, Multi-year

GRSi was again ranked among the nation’s Top 50 job creators on Inc. Magazine’s annual Inc. 500 list for a second consecutive year.

In a stagnant economic environment, the companies on this year’s list report having created 350,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $366 billion, up 14 percent from the previous year. GRSi ranked 32nd in the nation for job creation.

Inc. magazine Editor Jane Berentson says, "Now, more than ever, we depend on Inc. 500/5000 companies to spur innovation, provide jobs, and drive the economy forward. Growth companies, not large corporations, are where the action is."

Inc 500 Award

ABOVE AND BEYOND AWARD, NATIONAL COMMITTEE OF GUARD AND RESERVE

The National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) presented GRSi with an Above and Beyond Award, recognizing the company for exceeding the legal requirements for granting leave and providing support that ensures availability and readiness of Reserve forces. GRSi was nominated by one of the company's own employees whose reserve unit was called into action.

The Above and Beyond award is one of a limited number given by the Maryland Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. ESGR is an agency within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs that is tasked by the Department of Defense tasks ESGR to "promote both public and private understanding of the National Guard and Reserve in order to gain U.S. employer and community support through programs and personnel policies and practices that shall encourage employee and citizen participation in National Guard and Reserve programs."
