GRSI 2015 6th Annual Charity Golf Tournament: Record Donations

GRSi hosted its 2015 6th annual charity golf tournament in support of Operation Second Chance, on May 21st. We reached a record level of donations for this year, thanks to the generosity of our golfers and sponsors, with more than $17,000 raised for direct contribution to our charity.

About the charity: At Operation Second Chance (OSC), we are doing our best to change lives and to help our heroes move on with dignity and love. We continue to provide emergency financial assistance for a wide range of needs from rent and utility payments to travel and groceries. We provide awesome retreats and day trips to get our Veterans out of the hospital. We offer caregiver spa days, family bowling nights and so much more. We have maintained the 'grassroots' approach and never want to lose sight of where we came from or where we are going.. www.operationsecondchance.org

We cannot thank our golfers and sponsors enough, without them this event would not happen and neither would the great benefit to such a worthy charity and our troops, save the date, sign up, give and enjoy.

We want to thank NextLogical, our exclusive EAGLE sponsor for 2015, for their amazing charity and early commitment.

GRSi closes 2014 with success and launches 2015 with momentum

"As we close out 2014 and launch full steam into 2015 we can take pride in the remarkable achievements of our many teams across the country. Our business development and growth efforts in 2014 were excellent, realizing 16 federal government awards, that’s almost one award every three weeks.

In 2014 we opened a new office in Stafford, Virginia just outside the gate at Quantico, as well as planning the relocation of our SPAWAR operations to a larger facility in Charleston, South Carolina to accommodate the record growth achieved in 2014.

Our civilian IT support efforts grew as well in 2014, with both expansion of existing efforts and new clients, such as our new five year IT support contract for NIH at its Baltimore, Maryland location.

New awards and growth are critically important and represent the future, but also they represent the past – as all future work is built on our past-performance with clients, the result of the outstanding efforts of GRSi teams everywhere.

As each year is built on the previous one, 2015 is looking bright and strong. The government contracting space has become more competitive than ever before in history and we all see companies taking extreme measures to cut costs and “buy” contract awards, large and small, while diminishing and removing benefits. We exert every effort and innovation available to maintain top tier benefits for our highly valued employees to continue making GRSi one of the most employee focused organizations in our industry. We know that if we take excellent care of our employees, they’ll take excellent care of our clients."

- David Affeldt, President and CEO.
