Maryland Tech Council

The Maryland Tech Council is the largest technology trade association in the state, providing members with a collaborative community to share information, influence policy, and participate in educational programs. Members of the Tech Council are provided with educational programming taught by industry leaders focusing on key topics and advocacy at the state and national levels. The Associations’ mission is to build stronger technology and life science communities in Maryland by nurturing a healthy and vibrant environment where members can connect and prosper.

CDCA

CDCA (Charleston Defense Contractors Association)

The CDCA aims to address issues and opportunities facing the Charleston, South Carolina defense community. CDCA provides liaison with Local, State, and Federal governmental agencies; elected officials; legislatures; and special groups and committees. The Association works to improve the local defense community’s ability to develop, attract, retain, and execute business opportunities more effectively. To provide better services to defense customers, CDCA fosters an increased and effective interaction between defense contractors. Formed in 2002, the Association’s mission is to advocate, protect, and preserve its community.

AFCEA

Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA)

AFCEA is an international organization that serves its members by providing a forum for the ethical exchange of information. The organization is dedicated to increasing knowledge through exploring issues relevant to its members in information technology, communications, and electronics for the Defense, Homeland Security, and Intel communities. AFCEA has more than 32,000 individual members and 1,700 corporate members worldwide.

Project Management Institute (PMI)

For over three decades, the SEI has been helping government and industry organizations acquire, develop, operate, and sustain innovative, affordable, enduring, and trustworthy software systems. The Institute serves the nation as a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and based at Carnegie Mellon University, a global research university annually rated among the best for its programs in computer science and engineering.

WID

Women In Defense (WID)

WID, a National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) Affiliate, engages, cultivates, and supports the advancement and recognition of women in all aspects of national security. Incorporated in 1985, WID provides members a business environment for professional growth through strategic networking, education, and career development. WID provides a dynamic, forward-thinking community for developing leadership skills, cultivating relationships, as well as mentoring, and education through a variety of national and regional events, addressing some of the most pressing national defense issues. This national alliance is comprised of women and men from industry and defense organizations of every size – all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces, Government agencies, academia, think tanks, associations, and professional services.

Government - Industry Data Exchange Program) (GIDEP)

GIDEP is a cooperative activity between government and industry participants seeking to reduce or eliminate expenditures of resources by sharing technical information essential during research, design, development, production and operational phases of the life cycle of systems, facilities and equipment. Since 1959, participants have reported over $2.1 billion in the prevention of unplanned expenditures. Proper utilization of GIDEP data can materially improve the total quality and reliability of systems and components during the acquisition and logistics phases of the lifecycle and reduce development and manufacture costs of complex systems and equipment.

Serving Human Resource (HR) professionals since 1906, IPMA-HR is the leading public sector HR organization in the world. The organization represents the interests of HR professionals and strives to promote excellence in HR management. The organization is governed by an Executive Council and divided into more than 40 chapters, residing in four U.S. regions and abroad.

Fort Detrick Alliance

The Fort Detrick Alliance, Inc.’s mission is to facilitate communication and understanding between Federal agencies at Fort Detrick and the community-at-large. To accomplish this mission, the Alliance endeavors to build relationships between Fort Detrick and its constituencies in the region: individuals, businesses, civic, social, and educational organizations; and local and State government entities. The Alliance was founded in 2003 as an independent, non-profit Maryland corporation and has nearly 100 members.
