Inc. Magazine listed GRSi in its Top 50 Fastest-Growing Companies, ranking 42nd in growth. Two years in a row, GRSi ranked in the Top 50 for growth.

GRSi again ranked among the nation’s Top 50 job creators on Inc. Magazine’s annual Inc. 5000 list for a second consecutive year.
In a stagnant economic environment, the companies on this year’s list report having created 350,000 jobs in the past three years. The aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $366 billion, up 14 percent from the previous year. GRSi ranked 32nd in the nation for job creation.

For the fourth year in a row, GRSi was once again named a finalist for Government Contractor of the Year by the Maryland Tech Council. Not only recognizing the firm for its exceptional achievements in this area, GRSi President and CEO Dr. David Affeldt was also named CEO of the Year, marking his second time as a nominee and recognizing Dr. Affeldt as a true business leader in Maryland’s technology industry. According to Howard Rothman, co-chair of the MTC Industry Awards nominating committee, “This year’s process has far exceeded my expectations as it relates to both the quality and excellence of the nominations across all industries. 2016 BALTIMORE CORNERSTONE AWARD HONOREE, SMARTCEO MAGAZINE
GRSi President and CEO Dr. David Affeldt, was named a SmartCEO Cornerstone Award Honoree and recognized for partnering with local organizations, donating to community causes, and mentoring the future generation of leaders. The Cornerstone Awards program honors businesses headquartered in areas surrounding the Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC, metro markets. Awardees and honorees include companies of all sizes and industry segments who have made a positive impact on job creation and retention, market competition, and philanthropy.
Congressional Awards of Performance, Multi-Year
Congressman Bartlett presented GRSi with a special recognition award for performance from 2011 to 2012 and recognized GRSi’s distinction as government contracting firm of the year. GRSi is honored to receive such recognition from Congressman Bartlett, who is such a strong advocate of businesses, especially those in the “tech-corridor” and Frederick County.
Senators Mikulski and Cardin also recognized GRSi with a certificate for “smart business practices and continued growth in poor economic times.” The award came in response to GRSi’s wave of task order and contract wins, including significant growth in its support at Fort Detrick.
ABOVE AND BEYOND AWARD, NATIONAL COMMITTEE OF GUARD AND RESERVE
The National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) presented GRSi with an Above and Beyond Award, recognizing the company for exceeding the legal requirements for granting leave and providing the support that ensures availability and readiness of Reserve forces. GRSi was nominated by one of the company’s own employees whose reserve unit was called into action.
The Above and Beyond award is one of a limited number given by the Maryland Committee for ESGR. ESGR is an agency within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs that is tasked by the Department of Defense to “promote both public and private understanding of the National Guard and Reserve in order to gain U.S. employer and community support through programs and personnel policies and practices that shall encourage employee and citizen participation in National Guard and Reserve programs.”
